About Just Planters

Just Planters started as a WordPress blog about exactly what the name says: planters, pots, and the plants that live in them. It has grown into a reference site with three legs.

• Guides: long-form articles on container gardening, houseplant care, propagation, bonsai for beginners, and keeping plants healthy, published on a regular schedule. Sources are linked inline, and we lean heavily on university extension programs and botanical gardens rather than repeating internet folklore.
• The nursery directory: a free, nationwide listing of plant nurseries and garden centers, compiled from public map data published by the Overture Maps Foundation. There is no pay-to-play: businesses cannot buy placement, and we list their public address, phone, and website so you can go straight to the source.
• Resources and tools: original reference pages and free calculators, like the planter size calculator and the houseplant picker, built to answer the questions our readers actually ask.

How the site makes money

Some product links in our guides are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you buy after clicking, at no extra cost to you. That is the whole business model; we do not sell listings, run sponsored posts disguised as reviews, or collect and resell reader data. Details are in the affiliate disclosure.

Accuracy and corrections

Directory data comes from public sources and changes constantly as businesses open, move, and close; always verify hours and details before making a trip. If you spot an error in a listing or an article, email hello@justplanters.com and we will fix it.
